Clear acne-free skin relies heavily on an alkalizing diet. The lettuce, tomato and onion on your hamburger do not meet the required amount of vegetables for the day. Many foods and beverages lead to over acidity in the body. Many of these foods may be healthful, but when consumed in the absence of enough vegetables, they cause problems. To keep the body's pH in balance, eat an abundance of vegetables at every meal. Try for at least one large salad every day. Replace sodas, fruit juice drinks and coffee with lemon water or green tea. Eliminate processed foods. Replace refined sugars and desserts with alkalizing fruits.
